Can You Improve Your Trading and Investment Skills?

You probably aren’t fully satisfied with your trading or investment skills. You also probably use one of three the most popular (and inefficient) ways of dealing with this problem.

  1. You ignore your problem
If you ignore your problem then of course you don’t fix it. You also know that you have a problem but you don’t want to admit it so when someone wants to help you then you get angry.
  1. You hope that your situation will magically improve
Problems almost never magically disappear. And even when they do then usually after some time you again have to deal with them. Probably you read about poor people which won a lot of money on lottery but in few months they lost all of it.
  1. You don’t believe that you can improve your skills so you only complain
If you don’t believe that you can change something then you don’t use your resources (for example your knowledge) and don’t take actions (which you can take) to improve your skills. Additionally you complain so you are less satisfied with trading or investing.

How to deal with it? Admit that you have a problem. Next observe yourself and gather information about your case. After that decide what you can do to improve your situation and do it.
For example you don’t take risky but profitable trades. So what can you do about it? You may try to force yourself to take trades but it probably will not work.
In this case you should ask yourself why you don’t take these trades. Probably you are afraid of loss. But why? Maybe you don’t accept that everyone sometimes lose. Maybe you want to be perfect.
Not taking trades is a habit. But you can set a new habit of taking trades. Changing habits is a complex subject but you can gather information about it and take actions to achieve your new skill.
